Global objective
The overall objective of this Operation was to improve the overall quality of the services for the passengers and cargo, increasing the technical standards and capacity of the railway stations and overall the interest in travelling and shipping by train.
Specific objectives
The specific objective of this assignment was preparation of high quality technical documentation as follows:
• Preparation of a Study with an assessment of the current situation of the prioritized Railway Stations (6-10) along Pan-European Corridor X and its branch Xd including analysis to identify the needs for rehabilitation and the possibility to implement best EU practices;
• Preparation of Detailed Designs including Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for rehabilitation of each of the prioritized railway stations separately, based on the previously conducted study;
• Preparation of the full Tender Dossier for the Works Contract for Rehabilitation of the prioritized railway stations (6-10), according to the latest PRAG procurement rules and procedures and to the FIDIC red book for implementing the works (conditions of contract);
• Preparation of Specific Terms of Reference and Indicative budget for a Framework Contract for Supervision services of the Works Contract for Rehabilitation of the prioritized railway stations (6-10), according to the latest PRAG procurement rules and procedures;
• Presentation of the prepared documents to the Contracting Authority and the End Beneficiaries.
