The Consultant provided a detailed information on legislation and policy measures in selected services sectors based on questionnaires provided by the CEFTA Secretariat. Within the project answers on detailed questionnaire in selected services sectors were provided consulting the relevant legislative acts. The answers were documented with respective references to relevant laws, regulations or policies. The translation from the original to the English language, where needed, was provided. The uploading of answers to the questionnaire was performed through a web-based form. The services sectors subject to legislation screening were the following: financial services (encompassing banking and insurance subsectors), tourism services (encompassing hotels and restaurants incl. catering, travel agencies and tour operators services and tourist guides services), telecommunications (encompassing fixed, mobile and internet services), distribution (retail and wholesale), transportation (encompassing air, road, rail and shipping subsectors) and professional services (accounting, auditing, legal, engineering, architectural), construction services, and computer and ICT related services. The regulations subject to mapping included labor regulations related to market access, residence and working permits requirements in each of the selected sectors (horizontal cross-sectoral area).
The project resulted with approved regulatory database in selected services sectors securing the necessary critical pool of information for calculating the STRI (Services Trade Restrictiveness Indices).
